So I decided to flee to the mountains. I grabbed a cup of coffee and a cigar and drove from Sedalia to Deckers (which included a downhill 15% grade dirt road), then from Deckers to Pine and Conifer and back to town on 285. Temperatures drop anywhere from 15-25 degrees depending on where you go.
There were lots of people camping and rafting, naturally. I especially appreciated all the hot shirtless guys, that was a nice touch. For those of you who may not be into that, there are also lots of hot girls in bathing suits.
The view from the drivers' seat.
My dirty little car. I had to use the rear wiper a bunch to clear the dust from the dirt roads off the back.
I would love to get a look inside this place.

Any of you other city-bound Colorado opponauts, if you don't make regular road trips up to the mountains you are seriously depriving yourself of a great time. There's so many twisty roads to take advantage of, and views to die for. Get up there already!
